Comme un parfum d'aventure [With a Hint of Adventure] (group show)
Musée d'art contemporain, Lyon
7 October 2020 – 18 July 2021
Comme un parfum d’aventure [With a Hint of Adventure] is an exhibition directly inspired by the recent collective, worldwide experience of confinement, which was imposed more or less simultaneously for health reasons on the majority of people on the planet. Its main thrust is an exploration of the question of travel, whether impeded or imposed, voluntary or provoked, individually or in a group, and the consequences of it for those affected. It takes the form of an investigation across history, drawing on the collections of the Lyon Musée des Beaux-Arts and the Musée d’Art Contemporain (macLYON). Alongside these works, the exhibition juxtaposes works borrowed or specifically created by artists living in France, not to say geographically close to macLYON. The experience of moving through the exhibition and viewing the works is designed to encourage visitors to reflect on the links between political ideologies, economic systems, climate change and migration flows.
This new collaboration between macLYON and the Musée des Beaux-Arts is one of a series of initiatives by the Lyon Art Museums in active support of the French art scene.

Artistes à la Une Togeth'Her (group show)
The Monnaie de Paris, Paris
4 June – 4 July 2021
The Monnaie de Paris is very pleased to once again welcome the “Artists à la Une Togeth’Her” exhibition. This third edition is being presented in collaboration with Madame Figaro to mark the magazine’s 40th anniversary in 2020.
Project initiator and designer David-Hervé Boutin and Madame Figaro gave carte blanche this year to 26 female and male contemporary artists to imagine a cover page for the celebrated magazine by creating portraits of women in many fields who have played a role in our modern history and who will continue to passionately promote essential causes in the future.
The 26 portraits will be brought together in this exhibition highlighting the personalities of these 26 women and their very inspiring careers. The artists have generously donated their works so that they can be auctioned for the benefit of causes they have chosen in collaboration with their muses.
Artcurial, the auction house, is also joining the project by organizing the sale of these works on its website from 1 to 7 July. Anyone can bid online at www.artcurial.com. With similar generosity, most of the artists have given their consent for their work to be reproduced as high-quality 70 x 50 cm prints, in signed and numbered limited editions of 20 to 100 copies. The prints will be on sale at the Monnaie de Paris and on the www.togeth-Her.com website.
To accompany the exhibition and the charity sale, Madame Figaro will publish a supplement in which every work will be highlighted, accompanied by an interview with its artist-creator and a biography of the subject. This supplement, with a print run of more than 100,000 copies, will be available to subscribers and readers in the Paris region.
