Rinus Van de Velde’s work is the subject of a new solo exhibition co-hosted by Art Sonje Center, Jeonnam Museum of Art, and Space ISU. Alongside the artist’s imaginative paintings, latest drawings, and a captivating film blending autobiography and fiction, I Want to Eat Mangos in the Bathtub presents a life-size recreation of a video set – an immersive installation offering unique insight into Van de Velde’s visual journeys.

The exhibition presents the work of contemporary artists in conversation with the unique collection of the nineteenth-century art lover Fritz Mayer van den Bergh. Several contemporary artists, including Rinus Van de Velde, will present new work created specifically for this exhibition.
