Tal R’s work is included in the group exhibition Når vi døde vågner (When We Dead Awaken) at Gammel Strand, Copenhagen. Marking the institution’s 200th anniversary, the exhibition is a transhistorical journey through works and previously exhibited artists that have left a mark on Gammel Strand. The exhibition presents a series of associative, imaginative encounters that together sketch a portrait of how art, its institutions and the surrounding world are constantly in motion – in a state of ongoing exchange and transformation.

The Elephant in the Room (publication)

Tal R’s new catalogue has been published on the occasion of his solo exhibition, The Elephant in the Room, at Millesgården, Stockholm. Bringing together sculpture, painting and drawing, the publication provides an immersive exploration of perception, memory and the hidden dynamics of everyday life, including many works that revolve around the home – its rooms, atmospheres and the relationships shaped within its walls. The catalogue features a preface by Sara Källström, poetry by Melanie Kitti and a conversation between Bronwyn Griffith and Tal R.

Moonwalk (solo show)
Gammel Holtegaard, Holte

Tal R will be the first exhibiting artist at the Gammel Holtegaard, Copenhagen, following the Danish art centre’s extensive renovation. The artist’s solo exhibition, Moonwalk, is conceived as a total installation, rooted in the relationship between figure and space. Consisting solely of sculptures, Tal R’s works activate the Gammel Holtegaard’s main building, baroque gardens, and surrounding outdoor areas. Following the exhibition, a monumental sculpture from Moonwalk will become part of the Gammel Holtegaard’s upcoming permanent sculpture park.

The Elephant in the Room (solo show)
Millesgården Museum, Stockholm

Tal R’s work is presented in The Elephant in the Room, a solo exhibition at the Millesgården Museum, Stockholm, in the former home and studio of Carl Milles (1875–1955). Visitors encounter a monumental pink elephant by Tal R among Milles’ classic white plaster casts – an enigmatic presence within the historic setting. In the art hall, the narrative continues with vibrant paintings and sculptures that explore the home, its rooms, and the relationships formed within them. Inspired by the concept of ‘das Unheimliche’ (the uncanny), Tal R raises questions about what we see, and what we would rather not see.
