Konrad Klapheck’s work is the subject of Objekte der Begierde. Konrad Klapheck und seine Welt der Dinge, a publication focusing, for the first time, on the objects that form the basis of Klapheck’s visual world: typewriters, sewing machines, shoe trees and bicycle clamps. These objects are juxtaposed with Klapheck’s paintings, in which he precisely depicts and simultaneously elevates everyday items. The publication accompanies a solo exhibition of Klapheck’s works, held from April – May 2026 at Deutsche Bundesbank, Düsseldorf.

Works by Konrad Klapheck and Bridget Riley are included in Zerreißprobe. Kunst zwischen Politik und Gesellschaft at Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin. The exhibition’s point of departure is the radical performance Zerreißprobe (Stress Test, 1970) by Günter Brus, a co-founder of the Vienna Actionism. The exhibition addresses central artistic and social themes of the twentieth century in 14 sections, including realism and abstraction, politics and society, the everyday and Pop, feminism, identity, and nature and ecology.
