Raymond Hains’ works are the subject of A Work Under Construction. From the Grand Louvre to the 3 Cartier, a solo exhibition at the Fondation Cartier, Paris. This installation brings together photographs taken by Hains on the construction site of the Grand Louvre renovation project (1981–1991), depicting hoardings, scaffolding, pipes and blocks of stone. First presented in 1994 at the Fondation Cartier’s Boulevard Raspail site, the exhibition is reimagined on Place du Palais-Royal, with further works presented at the Galerie Valois, Paris, until 4 October.

Work by Matthew Barney and Raymond Hains will feature in the group show Exposition générale, at Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Paris, from 25 October. Exhibiting works from their extensive collection, Exposition générale showcases both the Fondation Cartier’s artistic identity and its legacy, presenting nearly six hundred works by more than one hundred artists who have participated in its programming from 1984 to the present day.
