Artist duo Tursic & Mille have collaborated with Louis Vuitton to develop a design for the French luxury brand’s fifth Artycapucines collection. Reconceptualising the idea of image overload, the duo’s reimagining of the Capucines bag is based on their 2021 painting Tenderness. The artists’ note: ‘Once it leaves the workshop, it begins a life of its own, as well as it should.’

The exhibition at the Bechtler Stiftung is based on the dialogue between the British sculptor Rebecca Warren and the American painter and conceptual artist Wade Guyton. The two artists represent outstanding and decidedly independent positions in international contemporary art and have never before been exhibited together. The presentation includes some twenty works, some of them large-scale, such as a nearly nine-metre-wide painting by Guyton, or towering bronze stelae by Warren.

Rebecca Warren’s sculptures, Jean and Los Hadeans VI, both 2017, are on long term loan at the Sainsbury Centre, Norwich.

Jean stands nearly 4m high and is installed in the west-end garden alongside Henry Moore's Draped Reclining Woman (1957–58). Los Hadeans VI is on display inside the museum alongside works by Pablo Picasso and Alberto Giacometti.

In a series of photographs taken while on the road to Hetzler | Marfa in December 2022, artist duo Tursic & Mille capture the vast, fascinating and cinematic landscape of Southern Texas, from Marfa to the Chihuahuan desert. Alongside these special photographs, the artists’ own words further evoke their journey.

A new public installation by Jeff Koons has been unveiled at Al Masrah Park in Doha’s Corniche. Made of polychromed mirror-polished stainless-steel, and stretching over 32-meters longand 24-meters heigh, the monumental sculpture depicts a dugong propped up on an ocean wave. The marine mammal has inhabited the waters surrounding Qatar’s peninsula for thousands of years. 

Dugong, 2022, is the latest addition to a series of major art projects commissioned by Qatar Museums in the lead up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, including Ernesto Neto’s Slug Turtle, TemplEarth, 2022.

A new artist edition by Tursic & Mille, Strange Days, is now available for purchase on the Galerie Max Hetzler publications website. This illustrated calendar, with two pop-out cardboard sculptures, has been published on the occasion of the artists’ exhibition Strange Days at Galerie Max Hetzler, London, June – August 2021.
